Breed standardThe Mini Foxie is a small sized, strong, sleek, well balanced and agile terrier. They are alert and lively with an inquiring nature, and a short, fine, smooth coat. The dog has inborn skill for hunting and has internal strength and fortitude. Fearless and bold, confident, intelligent and eager to learn. The breed shows great loyalty to their owners. They have a predominantly white coat and can be white and black, white and black with tan markings (known as tri colour) or white and tan. Tan should be a rich, warm shade of tan. No other colours are permitted. Any white on the head should not touch the ears or the eyes. Full coloured coats are not permitted. The skin is highly pigmented in black or tan only and the nose must be solid black. The coat is short, dense and glossy and of fine smooth texture. The coat can be slightly longer on the ruff of the neck. The tail should be smooth coated, gradually tapering and carried at an angle away from the body but not permanently curled or carried over the back. Bobtails can occur naturally and are acceptable.
Their weight should not be under 3.5kg or over 5.5kgs and they should be between 24cm (9 ½”) to 30.5cm (12”) tall. The eyes should be slightly oval in shape and dark in colour and the ears a pointed V shape, either erect or folded. The length of the body should be in proportion to the length of the legs and the tail can be long or bobtail. The feet of the Mini Foxie are compact and oval shaped (sometimes called 'semi-hare footed' - like a hare or rabbit foot), not round in shape. The legs and back should be strong, well muscled and straight.
